Entry Criteria to Study in Ireland

 
  1. International students’ admittance criteria to higher education are decided by each institution differently and are generally based on previous academic qualifications and English language proficiency.
  2. If English is not your first language, demonstrate your command on the language through your senior secondary test results or through TOEFL/IELTS examinations. The TOEFL test has a minimum approved score of 570 (paper-based) or 90 (Internet-based), and the IELTS test has a minimum accepted score of 6.5.
  3. As part of your application, you will be required to furnish your biometric information. Meaning, you’ll need to provide your fingerprints to the Irish authorities.
  4. Many institutions offer a pre-arrival support guide that includes details of medical insurance available, accommodation options, etc.
